These 12 equity mutual funds offered negative returns in 9 months. Do you own any?

Around 12 equity mutual funds have offered negative returns in the last nine months. There were around 488 equity mutual funds in the said period.

HSBC Brazil Fund lost the most — around 20.92% — in the last nine months. Invesco India – Invesco Pan European Equity FoF posted a negative return of around 7.54% in the period. DSP World Mining FoF and Baroda BNP Paribas Aqua FoF lost 4.66% and 2.82%, respectively, in the last nine months.

ICICI Pru Strategic Metal and Energy Equity FoF gave a negative return of around 2.61% in the last nine months, followed by DSP Global Clean Energy FoF which gave negative returns of around 2.23% in the same period.

Aditya Birla SL PSU Equity Fund, a PSU fund, lost around 1.84% in the same period, followed by Mirae Asset Global Electric & Autonomous Vehicles ETFs FoF which lost 1.71%.


Edelweiss Europe Dynamic Equity Off-shore Fund lost 1.60% in the last nine months, followed by two schemes from Quant Mutual Fund.Quant Quantamental Fund and Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund gave negative returns of around 1.02% and 0.89%, respectively, in the last nine months. Around 476 schemes gave positive returns between 0.25% and 50.75% in the last nine months. Mirae Asset NYSE FANG+ETF FoF offered the highest return of 50.75% in the same period.

We considered all equity mutual funds available in the market, including sectoral and thematic funds. We considered regular and growth options. We calculated the performance of last nine months.
